In addition to our Canossian Spirituality Center in south-west Albuquerque, New Mexico, our convent here in Sacramento, California opens its Chapel for day-retreats for young women in discernment. At least six Saturdays a year, we invite young women to spend the afternoon with the Lord in the quiet of prayer. One of our Sisters gives a spiritual reflection, and/or can speak one-on-one with participants.
The day concludes with the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the anticipatory Mass for the Sunday.
Our Sisters are available to meet with individuals wishing to discern their vocation.
If you’d like more information about this opportunity, contact us!
We also open our convent to high school girls for evening prayer and dinner. It is an opportunity for them to get to know us (and for us to get to know them!); and for them to have an experience of ‘what its like’ to be a Sister. We share our stories, and field questions from the girls.
If you are a youth group coordinator, and would like your teen girls to experience an evening of prayer with us, and/or would like to have us talk with your youth group regarding vocations, contact us.
